Jacob H. Dorfman, Esq., M.B.A., serves as Lead Litigator at Elville and Associates, P.C., representing clients throughout Maryland in probate, trust, fiduciary, guardianship, and other civil litigation matters. He understands that litigation is rarely just about legal issues—it often involves families, relationships, finances, and difficult decisions. His goal is to help clients navigate those challenges with clear guidance, thoughtful counsel, and strong courtroom advocacy when it matters most. While he is always prepared to advocate aggressively in court, he also recognizes that not every dispute belongs in a courtroom. Whenever possible, he works to resolve matters efficiently while keeping his clients' long-term goals at the forefront.

Before joining Elville and Associates, Jacob practiced with a Baltimore litigation firm, where he represented clients in consumer protection, civil, criminal, and family law matters. Earlier in his career, he served as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Robert Taylor, Jr., in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Working closely with the Court gave him firsthand insight into how cases are evaluated and decided—experience that continues to shape the way he prepares and presents every case.

Jacob received a full merit based scholarship to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. During law school, he served as a Senior Editor of the Journal of International Law, was President of the Jewish Law Student Association, and worked as both a student attorney and mediator through the school's Mediation Clinic. He was also a member of the law school's nationally recognized Transactional Law Team, whose Best Draft submission earned a national championship.

Prior to law school, Jacob earned both his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University. Jacob served as a leader in several student organizations while at Binghamton University, and was honored as the Student Commencement Speaker upon graduation. His business background gives him an added appreciation for the financial and practical considerations that often accompany legal disputes.

Jacob is active in Maryland's legal community and currently serves as Chair of the Bar Association of Baltimore City's Young Lawyers' Division. He is also active in the Jewish community, volunteering as a gabbai in his synagogue, as well as serving on the board of local Jewish non-profit organizations.
