Justin M. Ginsburg, J.D., LL.M., is a Principal Attorney with Elville and Associates, P.C., where he practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax planning, and tax controversy. His background in law, finance, business, and taxation allows him to work with clients on planning matters that often involve a combination of legal and financial considerations.

Justin has worked in the legal profession for approximately 25 years, beginning his career as a paralegal before becoming an attorney. His experience includes working as a paralegal in a general practice law firm and with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he gained experience in federal contracts litigation. He also gained experience as a paralegal in probate and guardianship proceedings. This background gave Justin years of practical exposure to the legal system before he entered the practice of law himself.

Justin's interest in law began while studying economics as an undergraduate. As he explains:

As an economics major in college, I learned that patents are legal monopolies and became intrigued by the government's impact on the business environment — and wanted to understand the purpose of the legal system in society.

Justin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2014, where he concentrated in Business Law. He later earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020. He also holds an M.B.A. in Finance, with honors, from the University of Baltimore/Towson University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Justin is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia and before the United States Tax Court. He is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Since entering private practice as an attorney in 2017, Justin has worked with hundreds of clients on their estate planning needs. His combination of tax, business, financial, and legal experience is particularly useful when helping clients understand how the different pieces of an estate plan work together and how decisions made today may affect them and their families in the future.

Justin also volunteers his time as an attorney with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, providing legal assistance to individuals with limited income

At Elville and Associates, Justin takes the time to explain legal and tax issues in understandable terms and help clients evaluate their options. Whether he is developing an estate plan, addressing a tax issue, or assisting with the administration of an estate or trust, his goal is to give clients the information they need to make informed decisions.
