Sara von Stein Echeverria, J.D., is an Associate Attorney with Elville and Associates, P.C., where she practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship, and beneficiary representation. She also serves as the leader of the firm's Estate and Trust Administration Department, working with the firm's attorneys and staff to guide clients and families through the administration process.
For Sara, an important part of practicing law is making it understandable to the people she serves. As she explains:
I decided to pursue the practice of law to help people understand and navigate the law so as to best help those individuals and their family.
Sara graduated summa cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She also holds a Master of Science from Birkbeck College, University of London, and earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Dickinson College.
Before focusing her practice on estate and elder law, Sara gained experience assisting clients with humanitarian immigration matters. That work provided her with experience helping individuals and families navigate complicated legal processes during particularly important and sometimes difficult times in their lives.
Sara has also contributed to legal scholarship, authoring “Loss of Liberty Without Counsel: Why Maryland Must Pass Universal Representation for Immigration Proceedings,” published in the University of Baltimore Law Forum in May 2024
Sara was selected to the Maryland Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers for 2026. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Baltimore City Bar Association.
At Elville and Associates, Sara works with clients on a wide range of planning and administration needs. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and explain legal concepts in practical terms so clients can make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
