Shannon F. Ladner, J.D., is a Principal Attorney with Elville and Associates, P.C., where she focuses her practice on estate planning, special needs planning, and tax planning. Known for her blend of legal precision and compassionate guidance, Shannon works closely with individuals and families to help them prepare for the future with confidence and clarity.
Shannon's journey in law began in the courtrooms of Baltimore, where she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to Magistrates Susan M. Marzetta and Lori Joy Eisner in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. This early experience gave her a front-row seat to the real-life impact of family dynamics and inadequate planning. It was there she developed a passion for proactive legal counsel and a dedication to helping clients avoid crises before they arise.
Prior to joining Elville and Associates, Shannon represented clients in family and criminal law matters as an associate attorney in Towson, Maryland. During law school, she served as a Rule 19 Student Attorney in the Human Trafficking Prevention Project Clinic, where she advocated for survivors of trafficking—an experience that deepened her understanding of empathy, resilience, and justice.
Shannon earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law (2019) and her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (2015). She is admitted to the Maryland State Bar and is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association.
Recognized on the Maryland Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers in 2023, 2024, and 2025, Shannon continues to exemplify excellence in client service and professional integrity. She approaches every estate plan not merely as a legal instrument, but as a legacy—one rooted in foresight, dignity, and care.
Through her work at Elville and Associates, Shannon is proud to help families make informed, empowered decisions about their futures—protecting what matters most and preserving peace of mind for generations to come.
